What is sector rotation?

Sector rotation is the persistent tendency of capital to flow between industry groups as the macro environment shifts. Each market regime — Bull, Bear, Inflationary, Deflationary, Risk-Off — favors a different set of sectors. Energy and Materials tend to outperform during inflationary regimes; Technology and Consumer Discretionary tend to lead during easy-money expansions; Utilities and Consumer Staples typically hold up best when investors are de-risking.

The Argos Wire engine scores every sector daily on a 0–10 composite scale that blends regime fit, macro rules, news flow, and momentum. A score above 6.0 produces a favorable signal; 4.0 to 6.0 is neutral; below 4.0 is unfavorable.
